This fall, the Haven has partnered with Finding Our Stride to offer free after school running and programming to our after-school program participants. The Upper Valley based running program boosts fitness, self-esteem and resilience and connects kids to peers, mentors and community. Any runners who need a new pair of shoes are provided one free of charge. In early October, the Haven runners joined hundreds of Finding Our Stride runners from teams across the Upper Valley to run in the CHaD Hero. The runners were also encouraged to fundraise for the event and raised more than $20,000 to support the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth. The Haven and Finding Our Stride are proud of this partnership that empowers kids to get moving, get outside and get involved in the community.
