Tomorrow is the Northeast SNAP Day of Action, and we’re standing with others across our region to speak out.

The U.S. Congress has proposed $230 billion in cuts to the Department of Agriculture, targeting programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) — known in Vermont as 3SquaresVT. Cuts like these would increase hunger, strain local economies, and create even greater demand for food programs like ours.

At the Haven, many households who visit our Food Market already receive 3SquaresVT benefits — and still need additional support to get through the month. Protecting these benefits helps families stay stable, nourished, and strong.
