For many of the people we serve, pets aren’t just animals—they are family. We’re lucky to have the support of local veterinary clinics and humane societies that understand this deep connection and go out of their way to help.
Partners like Sugar River Animal Hospital, Veremedy Pet Hospital, Upper Valley Humane Society, Little River Veterinary Clinic, and Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society have helped in so many important ways. They’ve offered low-cost or special-rate care, stepped in during emergencies, made temporary arrangements for pets during housing transitions, and even provided on-site vet clinics at the Haven.
This kind of support means a lot. At Hixon House, our adult shelter, guests are able to stay with their pets. No one should have to choose between a safe place to sleep and the animal they love. These local partners help make that possible.
