45 Years ~ 45 Partners: Dan & Whits
If you know Norwich, you know Dan & Whit’s. The sign out front says “If we don’t have it, you don’t need it,” and somehow, it’s always true. But what makes this legendary store stand out isn’t just what’s on the shelves… it’s how they care for the people who walk through their doors, and for the community around them.
Dan & Whit’s has been a dedicated partner to the Haven for many years. In 2013, when our Food Shelf was running low, Dan Fraser stepped in. He started collecting food and donating a portion of store sales to help keep our shelves full. That effort grew into something much bigger: 19 Days of the Valley, a community-wide tradition of giving each December that now includes dozens of businesses and thousands of supporters.
Dan & Whit’s continues to be a leader in that effort, and their generosity doesn’t stop there. They regularly encourage customers to round up at the register, support our Turkey Day food drive, and say yes to just about any idea that helps people in the Upper Valley.
Whether it’s helping someone find the right hardware, the right gift, or the right way to give back, the team at Dan & Whit’s goes out of their way to take care of people.
