A mother in our shelter asked us to make sure we thanked those who helped her family during Christmas. Providing for these families is a group effort, so we wanted to share the letter with all of you.
To whom it may concern,
I am the mother of two boys, who (on a constant basis) make me laugh, and feel fortunate to be their mother. I am part of a family that is residing at the Haven temporarily. The Haven has given us a chance to turn things around and be successful parents to our boys. I am not writing this to gloat about my little ones, or family dynamics, I am writing this to the numerous members of our community who donate their time, support, money, or goods. Whether it was a one time donation or ongoing, I personally want to thank those of you who find it in your hearts to be so generous and kind.
The families and individuals that utilize the resources and programs available at the Haven are grateful everyday for you, and your thoughtfulness. I am so happy to have the ability to provide stable shelter, food, amongst other things they need to grow into happy and healthy boys, and your donations make it possible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who contributes toward the haven’s success. Hired employees, volunteers, donations, programs, and other resources available all work together to help families (such as mine) toward more successful lives and to allow our children to not only grow, but thrive. Thank you again, your kindness does not go unnoticed.
