45 Years ~ 45 Partners: Co-op Food Stores
The Co-op Food Stores of New Hampshire and Vermont have been part of the Upper Valley since 1936, offering a shared ownership model and a strong sense of community to their customers and members.
The Co-op has been a steady partner to the Haven over many years. Back in 2011, they helped us rethink our Food Market during its first renovation, implementing a customer-focused design similar to a grocery store. That approach continues today and reflects how we want our guests to feel when they utilize our services: treated with dignity and support.
We also work with the Co-op to purchase food for our Market, including shelf-stable items and milk. Their team is wonderful to work with and always quick to respond.
Another big way the Co-op supports the Haven is through their Pennies for Change program. When shoppers round up at the register, a portion of those funds go to local nonprofits, including the Haven. Over time, this program has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support food access and other needs in our community.
We’re grateful to Co-op Food Stores for their generosity, reliability, and commitment to the Upper Valley.
