The Development Team
Laura Gillespie
Director of Development & Communications
Laura Gillespie has been the Haven’s Director of Development since 2016. Laura is a longtime Upper Valley resident and is deeply committed to improving the lives of all community members. Laura is community rowing coach, an Alice Peck Board member, an avid cook and knitter, and loves hiking with her dog Hazel.
Robin Caissie
Deputy Director of Development
Robin Caissie joined the Upper Valley Haven in 2024 as Deputy Director of Development, bringing 30 years of development experience across the arts, healthcare, and higher education sectors. Robin lives in Norwich, Vermont, with her husband, Stephen, and their mischievous pup, Wanda Todd. She enjoys hiking, jogging, skiing, snowshoeing, cold plunging, yoga, and tap dancing.
Jessica Pecora
Development Database Manager
Jessica Pecora came to the Haven in 2020. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BA in Communication and a certificate in Film Studies. She manages the database, acknowledgement letters, mailing lists, and reporting for the Development Office. Jessica is also the chair of the Haven’s Communication and Culture Committee. She enjoys reading, walking, baking, and spending time with her partner, Matt, and her rescue dog, Mabel!
Matt Taylor
Communications Associate
Matt Taylor joined the Haven in 2024 after a decade working in the media industry. He handles communications, including social media, printed materials, newsletters, website management, and events. Matt enjoys making music, going to concerts, and spending time with his dog Kevin.

Through partnerships and events like 19 Days of the Valley, we bring the Upper Valley together to help continue and amplify our work.

We share the Haven’s story through newsletters, social media, and print materials, keeping our supporters connected to the mission and the lives they touch.
