Gabby LaMotte of White River Junction spent the last two weeks before school started volunteering with us at the Haven. Gabby was introduced to the Haven through the Families Learning Together Program at the Family Place. This program supports young mothers who are working to create bright futures for themselves and their children. When Gabby was 15 she became pregnant with Hailie who is now a year and a half old. Gabby has not let the challenges of parenting, high school, and being a teen ager stop her from striving for a bright future for both herself and her daughter.
Gabby is a student at Hartford High School and will start at the Hartford Area Career and Technology Center in their Collision Repair Program this fall. She is optimistic about the future as she works towards her dreams.
