Tournament Sponsor The Jack & Dorothy Byrne Foundation
Join us Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st to play two days of tennis at the beautiful Storrs Pond Tennis Courts, share a farm to table community dinner, and help raise awareness and money to support Upper Valley Haven’s mission to reduce food insecurity. September is National Hunger Action Month and we are thrilled to be holding this as a kick-off event to a month-long campaign committed to eliminating hunger in our community. The tennis tournament will feature men’s and women’s singles and doubles play at A and B levels as well as a clinic and social round robin. Format, times and details here!
Food insecurity is at our doorstep and we want to use our sport to raise awareness and open our arms to include the Upper Valley at our table. In New Hampshire, 1 in 11 people and 1 in 8 children struggle with hunger. The Haven strives to fill this void and serves as a resource for food for over 12,000 people annually, including 4,000 children in 2018. We can support their efforts, leverage our impact and multiply our dollars by becoming a monthly partner and giving the Haven the ability to buy food at steep discounts predictably and efficiently for their food shelves. Dollars in, food on tables throughout the year and when and where it’s needed most. PLAY YOUR SPORT AND BECOME A PARTNER IN THE FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER! Unable to play but want to be a partner? Please become a monthly donor. For more information please contact Mary Reynolds or Laura Gillespie
