The Haven’s signature food event, Chefs of the Valley, is currently on hold due to pandemic.

It will not be held in April 2021, but we will be sure to post updates about future plans here, on Facebook, and via our e-newsletter. In the meantime, please support our local restaurants and caterers across the Upper Valley who have generously shared their time and talents with the community in support of an important cause.

March 2020 update: It is with heavy hearts that we officially cancel Chefs of the Valley at the Hanover Inn on April 26, 2020. While it is one of our favorite afternoons of the year, the cancellation feels particularly rough because we know that the changes over the past few weeks have left our chefs and their businesses scrambling and making even tougher decisions than canceling an event. We feel for them, their colleagues, and their employees.

None of us know what the outlook is for the next few months, year, or longer. We will be exploring the possibility of rescheduling this event in the fall/winter 2020, but not right now. For now we will focus on continuing our work at the Haven, offering our support to those experiencing poverty, food insecurity, homelessness, and more.

We will also be gathering information from our chef participants of this year and last year about how you can continue to support them; please keep an eye on the Haven’s Facebook page for that info.

The 14th Annual Chefs of the Valley will be held Sunday, April 26, 2020, at the Hanover Inn Dartmouth. Join us for an afternoon chefs’ tasting fundraiser with some of the best chefs, caterers, and restauranteurs in the Upper Valley. Sample delicious cuisine, bid on exclusive silent auction prizes, and enjoy a performance by the Dartmouth Aires. All proceeds benefit the Haven’s food programs for those experiencing poverty.

New in 2020: your entrance includes a drink ticket for a glass of wine or beer, plus non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the event. Cash bar.

Chefs of the Valley raises approximately $40,000 each year for the Haven.

The Haven is so grateful to our guests, chefs, auction donors, the Dartmouth Aires, and all who helped make last year’s event an enormous success.
