ANSYS ‘Canstruction’ challenge
On Friday, January 10th, two Haven staff members attended a competition held amongst ANSYS, Inc. employees. ANSYS staff formed teams who then collected monetary donations to buy food and build a ‘Canstruction’, which was judged by Haven staff members. The two prizes up for grabs were for ‘Most Creative’ and ‘Most Cans/Products’. After careful examination of the four teams’ presentations, Jennifer Fontaine and Emily Curtis chose the “Room for One More” team who used ANSYS engineering software to create their ‘Canstruction’ of a dining table complete with three chairs and room for one more. This masterpiece used 1,442 cans for construction! The four teams that competed collected over 3,300 food and personal hygiene items total, as well as more than $900! Thank you to ANSYS, Inc., and all their team members, for making their ‘Canstruction’ challenge so successful!
