Each year a local philanthropic committee comes together to organize and host the Mud Ball which benefits the Haven. All are welcome and 100% of proceeds are donated to the Haven.
The committee always secures a fabulous band, and although dancing and crazy shoe wear may be the predominant theme, great food is provided the Hanover Inn, and there is always fabulous decorations and a brilliant silent auction display!
Mud Ball 2011 raised $30,000 for the Haven children’s summer programs. Thanks to these dollars many children staying at the Haven, or children associated with the shelter, were able to take advantage of the many wonderful summer options offered around the Upper Valley. Children thrived in experiences that included art, nature and adventure day camps, gardening, field trips to the ocean, mountain climbing, and strength training programs.
