Every first sunday in May chefs from some of the Upper Valley’s best restaurants, artisan cheese makers, and more will join together in a fundraiser to support the Upper Valley Haven, called “Chefs of the Valley.” The event takes place at the Quechee Club from 4 to 7 pm and is a late afternoon gala where more than 250 guests sample cuisine prepared by these artists, and bid on silent auction items donated by local businesses and individuals.

“For the past four years it has been wonderful to see how chefs, restaurants and local businesses come together to help a community shelter and food shelf,” says Liz Verney, Development Director at the Haven.

Chefs of the Valley was launched four years ago and raises over $20,000 each year.

Participating restaurants and businesses include Allechante, Barnard Inn Restaurant, Canoe Club, Carpenter & Main, Cobb Hill cheese, Elixir, The Hanover Inn, Home Hill Restaurant, The Norwich Inn, The Quechee Club, The Quechee Inn, Salubre, Simon Pearce, Slice of Life, Stella’s, Thistle Hill Farm cheese, Umplebys, Vermont Coffee Company and local wine merchants.
